I earned a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Arizona State University (ASU) and AANP National Board certification in Adult and Geriatrics in 2018. During my training I worked as a Mayo Clinic-ASU medical research affiliate in Atrial Fibrillation and Heart Failure, trained at ASU in biomedical device design creating a shoe insole to monitor warning signs for potential diabetic foot wounds and implemented my doctoral project on non-opioid management of musculoskeletal pain with the Peace Corps in the South Pacific Island Republic of Vanuatu. Clinical work experience includes Cardiology, Peripheral Vascular Disease, Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, Adult Primary Care, Humanitarian Medical Response, Hospice and Palliative Care. I have extensive clinical and outreach experience working respectfully and collaboratively with our First Nation people in Arizona, California, and New Mexico. I have a passion for studying functional and metabolic medicine to assess and reduce the underlying causes of disease, disability and mortality and am very excited to join the AZ Cardiology team in Northern Arizona.
